Confidential Financial Client
Located in Houston, the new space for this confidential client is located in an Art Deco building built in 1929, which is a counterpoint to the forward-thinking workplace interior design. Large corporations develop standards to create a consistent look and feel across multiple locations. The client’s newly developed High-Performance Workplace Standards provides this consistency, along with better efficiency, state of the art LED lighting, and an open and collaborative workplace that appeals to younger workers and promotes innovation. The standard involves strict ratios of open to closed work spaces, and a surprisingly high requirement of informal “choice” (collaboration) seating. Full-glass demountable office fronts allow for light and view, and enhanced teamwork and transparency. The work café is an employee amenity intended as the centerpiece of the design’s emphasis on collaboration and mobile working.
