G.E. Turtle Creek
ZCA and Odell (ZC+O) competed in and won a design competition for this mixed use, office, boutique hotel, residential and retail project in the Uptown district of Dallas. The site has a very prestigious address on Turtle Creek Blvd. just a couple of blocks away from the Mansion at Turtle Creek and has been vacant for many years. The clients goal in developing the site is to be able to develop each use independently, while insuring that the mixes of use are still cohesive and that there will be a vibrant pedestrian environment. ZC+O’s solution envisions a single below grade garage, over which is created a pedestrian plaza and motor court. Surrounding the motor court are shops, valet drop-off for the office tower and boutique hotel tower with the main entrances for each use. The state of the art, glass and stone office tower is 300, 000 NRA and contains 25,000 NRA floor plates. All floors have spectacular views of uptown and downtown Dallas. The project is striving for minimum of LEED Gold.
