HBJ: River Oaks May See a Changing Skyline

Houston-based Hines may build another office tower in the inner-Loop, the company confirmed to the Houston Business Journal Thursday. The company said it recently acquired the property, at 2229 San Felipe, which city documents show is 35,000 square feet between Kirby and Shepherd. “We are currently studying the possibility of developing a high quality, boutique office building on the site,” said George Lancaster, spokesman for Hines. “If we do build a project, it will be upscale and handsome, befitting its River Oaks address.” Hines is in talks regarding design with local architects at Ziegler Cooper.
