Kurt Hull ,AIA, LEED AP
Senior Principal: Commercial Architecture Studio
Kurt started his career at Ziegler Cooper Architects as an intern over 34 years ago. A graduate of the University of Houston with a bachelor’s degree in architecture, Kurt serves as the Principal-in-Charge of the Commercial Architecture Studio, dedicated to commercial architecture, corporate facility design, mixed-use, and commercial redevelopment projects.
Kurt has served as Project Director on some of Ziegler Cooper’s most notable projects, such as The Austonian, The Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, Research Forest Lakeside, and Montebello and Villa d’Este Condominiums. As a LEED Accredited Professional since 2001, Kurt is active in promoting sustainable principles into all of his projects.
In his role as the Principal-in-Charge of the Commercial Architecture Studio, Kurt has directed over 11 million s.f. of commercial, corporate, and redevelopment architecture. Corporate clients and developers such as Warmack Interests, Hines, Trammell Crow, Transwestern, M&M Properties, SABIC, CGG, Cousins, Parkway, and CB&I seek out his leadership and knowledge on their projects to ensure high-quality design, on time and within budget.
Kurt has served as the 2007 AIA Houston Chapter President, Past President of the University of Houston Alumni Association, 2003 Chair of the AIA Continuing Education Committee, Acting Secretary, Board Member, and TSA Director for the Texas Society of Architects. He is also a member of the Downtown Houston Association. In addition to his contributions to industry associations, Kurt is an avid supporter of community associations and has served as a Board Member for the Boy Scouts of America, founding member of the Kirby Coalition, committee member for First Presbyterian Church, President and Board Member for the Boulevard Oaks Civic Association, and as Team Captain for the “ZCA Riders” BP MS 150 Charity Ride (for 14 years) from Austin to Houston.
