The Austonian Receives Award from Urban Land Institute Austin
The ULI Development Distinction Awards define the standard of excellence in real estate development in the Austin region, by recognizing developments that exemplify best practices in design, construction, economic viability, as well as marketing and management. Recognized by the Austin chapter of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), the Austonian won an award in the category of “New Development: Residential.”
Completed in 2010, The Austonian is the tallest all residential building west of the Mississippi River. The 167-unit condominium at the corner of Congress Avenue and 2nd Street offers luxurious high-rise homes in downtown Austin. The Austonian received a four-star rating through the Austin Energy Green Building Rating System, which is comparable to the LEED Gold Rating from the U.S. Green Building Council.
