Accudata Systems approached Ziegler Cooper to design the relocation of their corporate headquarters into a new first-generation space at Remington Square in Houston. The client sought an open, well-lit space with a warm yet industrial/tech feel that includes polished concrete flooring as well as brick, metal and wood accents. The new headquarters space includes a boardroom, a showcase glass-enclosed server room, a marketing room that allows clients to interface with products, and an on-site Network Operations Center (NOC). A moveable partition wall adjoins the cafe and large training/conference room, and can be retracted to join the two spaces into one large communal area. An open coffee bar and several huddle areas reinforce the collaborative culture that the company encourages and fosters. Glass-fronted private offices and open workstation areas are strategically located near the exterior window walls to ensure maximized daylight and views for all employees.
