Services provided for this new prototype neighborhood fire station included programming, architectural and engineering design, and contract administration. The station provides joint use facilities for the EMS and Fire departments in Pearland. It includes 3 full-size apparatus bays, 1 support vehicle bay, apparatus support spaces, dorms for seven firefighters and two EMS personnel, and offices for EMS and Fire. Materials and systems were selected with sustainability and energy efficiency as a priority. The exterior of the station is compatible with their residential and commercial neighborhood location while at the same time promoting a Civic appearance. It is a brick veneer skin over a prefabricated metal structure.
