Houston, TX

The CB Richard Ellis Group contracted Ziegler Cooper Architects to provide design services for their 44,172 sf offices located on level 22 and 23 of Williams Tower, in the Galleria area of Houston, Texas. The challenge was to design for a cultural shift from a traditional closed office environment to an open collaborative concept. As a solution, visual interest was achieved through the use of warmer wood tones, texture and traditional patterns. To unify the open and possibly intimidating space, a dropped ceiling plane was incorporated at the building core. A simple, comfortable solution, the level change denotes circulation while adding interest. An additional feature is the “family room,” a concept important to their company culture.
