W.D. Von Gonten

Founded in 1955, W.D. Von Gonten & Co. specializes in petroleum engineering, geological services and petro-physical modeling. W.D. Von Gonten consolidated their office space and lab into a single new location, a former big box store, in Houston’s Energy Corridor. The layout and design was driven by the desire to allow a maximum amount of light to fill the entire facility. In the reception area, historical photos are on display, adding a personal finish to the space. Glass front offices are located off of the collaboration corridor, which leads clients into the high-bay lab.

This area was designed to flow subsequently and seamlessly and is centered around the “chicken coop” service spines, feeding into the smaller lab areas.  The break room overlooks the high-bay lab area, while also acting as a gathering place for all employees.
