Chris Petrash, AIA

A graduate of the University of Houston with a bachelor’s degree in architecture, Chris serves in the role of Design Principal for Ziegler Cooper Architects’ Urban Residential Studio. Chris has over 35 years of design expertise on diverse and complex project types including high-rise, mixed-use, commercial office, and high-density, urban residential developments. His high level of design contribution to architecture has been recognized by the receipt of numerous awards.

Chris has played key design roles on significant projects including lead Project Designer on The Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, 2727 Kirby, The Austonian, The Sovereign at Regent Square, and Highland Tower. His primary role is to provide quality control of the design on all projects in the Urban Residential Studio. Most projects demand hands-on development, where Chris is able to combine his diverse range of skills, maintaining design integrity while providing cost-effective solutions for his clients.  Chris participates as a design critic for the Gerald D. Hines College of Architecture at the University of Houston, where he was recognized in 1998 for Outstanding Contributions to Architecture, by the Architecture Alumni Association, receiving entry into its Architectural Hall of Fame.
